Friends and family members gather to say goodbye to Sailors embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) as they depart on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of the global war on terrorism. George Washington is scheduled to relieve the Norfolk based carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) currently on station.
